The C4 blue hdi 120 is a comfortable quiet running delight to drive. I bought it from local Citroen dealer in January with 3,000 miles on the clock. Turns out it was an ex-rental car. However this has not put me off the vehicle as it was like new on delivery. It was serviced and there are no obvious marks or blemishes. I have done some 15,000 miles during the year so far without any problems . Averaging 54 mpg I would recommend the car to anyone.

I paid just under 50% of the list price for this as new 11000 mile car and for £8450 there is nothing as fast, economical and superbly comfortable and whisper quiet as this C4 on the market anywhere. I am very impressed having downsized from an Insignia and tried all sorts of mid sized cars before buying the C4. Whatever the reviewers day this is a superb car to own, not quite on a par with a Golf SE TDI but many thousands of pounds less. Highly delighted and recommended.

My first ever non-hydraulic Citroen. I've owned only Citroens for 22yrs. I'm very impressed, it looks amazing, drives nicely, still getting used to all the gadgets, only bug-bare is the reflection of the facia -vents in the windscreen which can be distracting and right in the eyeline.

Solid and relable even if not very exciting. Egs gearbox takes a bit of getting used to but can simplify town driving in "aoto" mode. Traction control can be intrusive in wet or slipery conditions.

I have the car on motability and it's a real nice drive. The only issue is that the auto gearbox can be a bit slow to choose a gear if you ease to a junction and then boot it to pull out in a gap, left me stranded on a roundabout, red lining in neutral a couple of times which was scary. Only other issue was paint bubbling on the bonnet, but new bonnnet fitted under warranty.

Purchased new from a Main dealer at nearly 35% discount this car has been a great buy. With nearly two thirds of our driving on Continental roads this Citroen is able to eat up the miles comfortably, quietly and economically. The 118 bhp diesel has bags of torque and although a little vocal when cold at low speeds, runs very quietly when underway. The 6 speed torque converter based EATS 6 auto gearbox is a 'peach'. The manual override works well too. As it meets Euro 6 standards and was registered before 1 April 2017, its low emissions mean £0.00 'UK road tax', After a problem on the first day of ownership the car has been totally reliable for nearly two years. The only problem is with the model being phased out, what to replace it with ? It will be a hard act to follow.

Best car ever owned. Being in the motor trade i have driven and used most common makes vehicle, this beats them all. Quick, smooth, comfortable, lots of extras, and SUPER economical. Road tax free or £20 for 12 months. Best in class and cheapest to purchase.

I bought this car to replace the previous version (2005 model). This update lacks some of the innovative features of the older model (fixed steering wheel centre, etc.) but feels much more comfortable and the fuel economy and road fund savings are impressive. Plus points: comfort, boot space, quiet drive, six gears, nice looking, useful features such as folding mirrors, reversing sensors, Bluetooth, etc. Negative points: lacks something to make it stand out from the crowd, can be awkward to fuel (pumps jam when refilling). Verdict: Glad I bought it, though it is not as exciting as the older model.

I really like my car. People are always suprised by the quality fo the car when they get inside. My sister drives an audi a3 and told me my citroen had the most comfortable car seats she'd ever sat in! nice care, just about to click 25k miles in 3 years. was top of range at time with built in satnav and stuff. road/wind noise non existant for 2 yr now its like back window is open or parcel shelf missing. was told it maybe seals for doors needing renewed. comfotable to drive gear shift jerky in manual mode but if u drive it like a manual its fine. mpg low for doing motorway and short distance would expect more for a deisel

I've the car for some two months now and am surprised at how smooth the blue HDI engine is. The tall gearing of the six speed gearbox takes a bit of getting used to. I went for diesel engine this time for a first, since it met Euro 6 specifications. The car is very comfortable especially on long journeys, but that is what Citroen are good at. It has a solid feel to it and is a pleasure to drive.

2 months in so cannot comment on reliability. Owned a Peugeot and an older DS4 recently sharing much of the same mechanics which were both faultless. New BlueHDI engines are better even than the old HDI ones. Mine is the baby 100hp but it's more than powerful enough and the 5 speed box is well judged. It's pretty smooth even if it does have a long throw. Clutch and pedals all weighted well, brakes are very responsive. Easily the smoothest and quietest car of its type I've driven. Handles reasonably but does get a bit flummoxed by rapid country lanes. Excellent infotainment system once you get used to it and cruise control is one of the nicer systems I've used. Some minor irritations are the dodgy conversion from left to right hand drive (fuse box not moved and handbrake further to the left). Massive boot, rear space adequate but could be better. Fuel economy easily the best I've had. Doe 55mpg in town and nudging 65mpg on a long run at national speed limit. All this and bought for about £12k with all the discounts.

60,000 miles in 33 months. Overall it is pretty good. I have managed 80mpg at 55mph, but the realistic mpgis 15 on the motorway and 45 in town. Some annoying features such as when using the stop-start you get hot air in air con mode and cold air in heat mode when stopped at lights etc for more than 20 secs. Sometime it is reluctant to start and needs the gear lever jiggling. Had two recalls for electronics and pulley belts. Plastic bonnet replaced and repainted due to blister bubbles. It has a large boot at the expense of a slightly cramped interior. Electric handbrake is a clever idea and good for storage due to the space saved. Care is needed between 1st and 2nd gear changes as hesitating can give the gearbox and identity crisis. The engine and brakes have power to spare and the car rides very well. It's still on the original brake discs but the front pads and two sets of tyres are the only replacements.

Semi-auto gearbox is trash, wont always engage gears and changes for no reason at the wrong time. glove box catch broken- dealer states you can only keep gloves in it even though its chilled. sliding drawer drivers side wont open as spring has fallen off. drawer under passenger seat wont open. Radio turns on when unlocking car. seat belt lights work sometimes either saying that the seat belts are not done up when they are or that there is nobody in the seat when there is, dealer says it is because children dont weigh enough.

First citroen i have owned and very pleased, boot is large [easily carried all holiday gear for 4 people, quiet engine and fairly economical-54mpg] easy to drive as it is semi-auto with paddle shifts, good visibilty alround and in snowy/icy conditions i turn off esp for better grip. Overall an excellent car
