Engine options include a 74bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine with a five-speed manual gearbox and a 99bhp turbocharged version of the same engine, which is available with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel variant is powered by Vauxhall’s 101bhp 1.5-litre engine, which is matched to a six-speed manual.
The new Astra Griffin Edition is available as a five-door hatchback or Sports Tourer estate. It has 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a contrasting gloss black finish for the roof and door mirrors and dark tinted rear windows with chrome surrounds.
Standard equipment includes Griffin-branded floor mats, Vauxhall’s Multimedia Sat Nav system with a seven-inch colour touchscreen, dual zone climate control, and heated front seats and steering wheel. All models also come with front and rear parking sensors and a Driving Assistance Pack, which includes forward collision alert, lane keep assist and automatic emergency braking.
Buyers can choose from a turbocharged 143bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine, which is linked to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. Alternatively, a 120bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine comes with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard or an optional nine-speed automatic.
Like the Astra Griffin Edition, the new Grandland X Griffin Edition SUV comes with the same 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and gloss black paint on the roof and door mirrors, while the rear windows get dark tinted glass. Silver-effect roof rails, chrome window surrounds and a powered tailgate complete the exterior upgrades.
Standard equipment includes a Multimedia Navi Pro infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen and sat nav. It also gets keyless entry and start, dual zone climate control and Griffin-embossed floor mats.
There’s a choice of two engines: a turbocharged 128bhp 1.2-litre petrol and a turbocharged 128bhp 1.5-litre diesel. Both are fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, with an eight-speed automatic transmission available as an option.
